A day-long Network Event with the Editors of local media houses was held on 17 October 2015 at Bogra town, a northern district headquarter of Bangladesh. 10 media gatekeepers including editors, executive editors and news editors were attended in the event.  They have discussed the media’s roles to defend democracy and human rights issues.  Participants appreciated the programme as well the requested to organise a follow-up events.  ‘It is good and fresh start to defend democracy and human rights’, commented gatekeepers in the event. Two different interaction meetings with the local journalists and CSOs staffs were held in Dinajpur and Rangpur.  Earlier they were trained up by News Network to improve their professional ability. Dinapur programme was organised on 14 October and in Rangpur 15 October 2015. Bothe the districts are located in northern part of Bangladesh.  About 65 journalists and CSOs staffs participated in the meetings.
